'Video virus' infects 2,000 PCs

Network Security Technologies, Inc. issued a press release in early June claiming they'd detected a horrible new 'video virus.' Worse, the firm notified FBI NIPC after detecting it on 2,000 PCs. The press release caused a media stir — the fifth such stir in one month! — but it goaded few other computer security firms to issue alerts.
