Its birthdate appears in a 1989 paper written by NCSA founder David Stang. Vesselin Bontchev (FRISK) contests Stang's research: Brain appeared in late 1987. One of the variants contains text claiming that it was written in 1986 — but we have learned not to trust any claims found in a virus. |
